Job Summary:
The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse role is located at a healthcare organization in Hickory, North Carolina. This position involves providing specialized care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiovascular conditions, including critical treatment for diagnoses such as coronary artery bypass grafting, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, and STEMI. The role requires dedication to patient safety and clinical excellence in a fast-paced ICU environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license in nursing, associate degree in nursing (ADN), at least 1.0 year of relevant experience in CVICU, ACLS, and BLS certifications.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Impella, IABP, CRRT equipment, and EHR system Cerner; strong critical thinking skills.
• Additional Information: The unit has 8 beds with patient ratios of 2:1 and occasional 1:1 care. No on-call responsibilities. Certification in CCRN is preferred but not required. Candidates must be flexible to rotate per scheduled needs. The role is a contractor replacement position starting on 08/17/2026, at a facility located at 420 North Center Street, Hickory, North Carolina, 28601.
