Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) - New York, NY. This role involves providing safe, competent, and quality patient care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of cardiovascular patients. The position emphasizes relationship-centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration, patient education, and safety practices in a fast-paced critical care environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 34.5 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: NYS Registered Nurse License, BLS certification, a minimum of two years of post-open heart and cardiac care unit experience, at least two years of RN experience, one year of travel experience (not required for Per Diem positions), EPIC electronic health record experience highly preferred, and a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in nursing preferred. Associate degree in nursing considered only with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN program.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Cardio Surgical Intensive Care units, familiarity with clinical standards such as SOPs, ENA, AHA, and CPI is advantageous.
  • Additional Information: The role requires coordination of patient throughput, charge nurse duties, and resource management. The candidate will contribute to quality improvement initiatives, participate in shared decision-making through unit committees, and support clinical colleagues, patients, and their families.
