• Shift Duration: 12-hour days
• Shifts per Week: 3 shifts per week
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Schedule: Includes every other weekend
• Setting: 28-bed mixed ICU with rapid response support
• Location: Charleston, SC 29406 - a welcoming coastal city with historic charm and a vibrant Lowcountry feel

Job Requirements

• 36 months of RN experience required, including at least 1 year in an ICU setting
• Prior CVICU experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Comfort caring for 1-3 ICU patients at a time
• Experience managing ventilated patients and reading telemetry strips
• Previous successful travel nursing experience preferred
• Proficiency with Meditech preferred
• BSN preferred; advanced critical care certifications preferred
• TNCC certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to cardiovascular and critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU environment
• Manage fresh post-op CABG patients, Impellas, balloon pumps, Swan Ganz catheters, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Support neuro-critical patients, including those with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage, EVDs, bolts, and induced hypothermia therapy
• Perform bedside shift reports and collaborate closely with the care team during transitions of care
• Assist with CRRT, phlebotomy, and respiratory treatments such as inhalers and nebulizers outside the ICU
• Float as needed to support ICU holds, PCU, or the emergency department
• Maintain strong communication, clinical judgment, and attention to detail in a dynamic critical care setting
