Job Summary The organization is seeking an ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Cardiovascular Specialist in Fargo, ND. The role involves managing critically ill patients in a Level 1 trauma hospital, with responsibilities including titrating vasopressor drips, assisting with bedside procedures, and utilizing advanced monitoring and equipment. The position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-acuity environment requiring critical care expertise.
Job Details
Position Type: ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Cardiovascular
Location: Fargo, ND
Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, every other weekend and holiday, with flexibility for self-scheduling within assigned days off
Required Qualifications: Valid ND or compact state RN license; minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience in a large, Level 1 trauma hospital (over 200 beds); experience titrating vasopressor drips; BLS and ACLS certifications from the AHA; NIHSS certification
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR); flexibility to float to various critical care departments including intermediate and ICU units
Additional Information:
Management of 1-3 critically ill patients in a high-acuity setting
Ability to independently care for critically ill neuro, cardiac, trauma, medical, and surgical patients
Proficiency in bedside procedures such as RSI, EVD placement, line placement, and diagnostic tests
Use of advanced monitoring systems including Phillips Patient Monitoring and Avasure Patient Monitoring
Orientation includes 32 hours of training across multiple ICU units during the first week of the assignment
