Job Description

The Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit is a fast-paced, highly acute, 18-bed adult critical care unit dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients with a wide range of cardiovascular diseases throughout all phases of their condition. This specialized unit emphasizes high-quality, accessible, innovative, and research-based care delivered by an interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to critically ill cardiac surgical patients.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize evidence-based practices in patient treatment and care planning.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing interventions as necessary.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and recovery.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a Cardiac Surgical ICU setting is required.
• 1+ years of travel nursing experience is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Valid nursing license in the state of practice.

Work Schedule

This position requires rotating day and night shifts, with weekends and holidays as needed.
