Job Summary
The Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in an acute care setting. This role involves delivering patient-centered care to critically ill individuals with cardiovascular conditions, including those requiring advanced interventions such as CRRT, IABP, and Impella. The RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained.

Job Details

• Certifications: Current New York State Registered Nurse License, BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross). Preferred certifications include CCRN and relevant skills certifications such as ACLS, PALS, TNCC.
• Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing; a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Experience: Six (6) months to three (3) years of nursing experience, with experience in intensive cardiac care including stroke patients thrombectomy/TNK, ICU overflow, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, every third weekend.
• Responsibilities: Provide nursing care for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, monitor patient status, administer medications following hospital policies, and support the nursing team. Participate in professional development and unit-based initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
• Additional Information: Will perform duties related to the Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator role when assigned. Will participate in the Clinical Ladder Program as knowledge and expertise develop. Performs other duties as assigned.
