Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) specialty position available in a healthcare facility. The role involves providing specialized care for adult and geriatric patients in a cardiovascular intensive care setting. The assignment offers an opportunity to work on nights shifts with a focus on advanced cardiac and critical patient management.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, including cardiovascular patient care; any state-specific licensure needs to be current
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Skills: Arterial line management, assist with chest tube insertion/removal, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line management, management of renal failure, continuous intravenous sedation, stroke management, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO*), high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), hypothermia protocols, infection prevention, arterial blood gases interpretation, cardiac rhythm interpretation, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), PPE and isolation precautions, insulin protocols, management of multisystem organ failure, phlebotomy, PICC line management, post-cardiac surgery care, procedural sedation, pulmonary artery line (Swan-Ganz), ventilator management, ventricular assist devices (LVAD/RVAD)
• Patient Age Groups: Adults and Geriatrics
• Additional Unit Information: Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, rapid response teams, and transportation
• Float: Floating to like units within scope may be required, with brief orientation provided
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• End Date: 01/11/2027
• Other Details: Assignment is located 50 miles from the local area; previous staff must wait one year before returning as travelers. No minimum experience beyond the required 2 years is specified.
