Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule: 3×12-hour shifts
Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend required
Holiday Requirement: No holidays required
On-Call: None
Float Requirement: Yes – must float to other ICUs
Specialty: Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU)
Required Experience:
Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) experience
Strong experience with:
Telemetry
Stepdown/Surgical
Thoracic Stepdown
Vascular Stepdown
LVAD competency required
Strong open-heart surgery background
Experience caring for post-cardiac surgery patients
Required Clinical Skills:
Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP/Balloon Pump)
CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
ECMO
Cardiac Output Monitoring
Swan-Ganz Catheter (PA Catheter)
Chest Tubes
Post-Cardiac Surgery Care
Required Certifications/Licensure:
NJ State Registered Nurse License
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS Certification
CEU Contact Stroke – 4 Hours
