Job Summary Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) RN - Rotating Day/Night Shifts The healthcare provider is seeking a qualified registered nurse with experience in cardiovascular critical care to join the team. The position involves providing specialized nursing care in a busy ICU setting, managing patients with complex cardiac and hemodynamic issues, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
Position: ICU Cardiovascular RN
Location: [Not specified, applicable to general healthcare provider settings]
Certifications and Education Requirements: Active RN license in Maryland or a Compact License, BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS; CCRN preferred
Experience: 2 years of relevant experience in patient care, with at least 1 year in ICU or CVICU; experience with adult and geriatric patient populations; charting system experience with Epic required
Schedule: Rotating shifts, 3 days per week, 12 hours per shift, a minimum of 36 hours per week
Additional Responsibilities: Float within the specialty as needed, work every other weekend, and be available for scheduled holidays; may be required to participate in on-call rotation
Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics, with an average daily census of 10 patients in a 15-bed unit
Common Diagnoses and Procedures: Cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, heart failure, arrhythmias, MI, advanced therapy workups (LVAD, heart transplants), mechanical support devices (IABP, Impella), bedside procedures including line insertions, temperature management, and CRRT
Onboarding and Compliance: Labs within 72 hours of signing, compliance documents due 5 days before start, online modules non-billable, travel and scheduling policies apply

Contract Duration: 13 weeks with potential for extension
