Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent CVICU RN experience required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; pending Utah RN license accepted, but license must be in hand prior to start
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Epic charting experience required
- Must have CRRT experience
- Must have Swan-Ganz / pulmonary artery catheter experience
- Strong mechanical circulatory support experience required, including Impella, IABP, LVAD/RVAD, and ECMO
- Experience caring for patients with ventilators, vasoactive drips, and complex cardiac conditions preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide expert bedside care for critically ill cardiovascular patients in a high-acuity ICU setting
- Monitor and manage CRRT, Swan-Ganz catheters, and advanced hemodynamic support devices
- Safely titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips based on patient condition and provider orders
- Assess, stabilize, and respond to rapidly changing patient needs using strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary critical care team to support optimal patient outcomes
- Document nursing care accurately in Epic and maintain excellent attention to detail
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a demanding but rewarding CVICU environment
