Job Summary Operating Room Open Heart Nurse Houston, TX. This position involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing open heart and vascular surgeries within a high-paced cardiovascular operating unit. The role requires coordination with a skilled team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety throughout surgical procedures.
Job Details
Position Description: The role involves data collection and perioperative nursing care in a cardiovascular operating room environment for procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, carotid endarterectomy, ECMO, angiogram, fistulagram, fistula creation, and lower extremity bypass.
Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS, ACLS certifications; Bachelors degree in Nursing or higher; current licensure in the state; at least 1 year of operating room and open heart or vascular surgery experience.
Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: On-call duties average 4-5 days per month, including one weekend. The unit has a fast-paced environment requiring flexible, team-oriented professionals.
