Job Summary
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) This position is based in an acute care setting requiring active New York State Nursing Licensure in good standing. The role involves providing specialized care for patients undergoing open heart and cardiothoracic procedures, with an emphasis on adherence to clinical protocols and ensuring patient safety throughout surgical interventions.

Job Details

• Position Description: The unit requires COVID-19 vaccination, and candidates must include their RTO (Request for Time Off) information at submission. Experience in open heart or cardiothoracic procedures is mandatory.
• Certifications: American Nurses Association endorsed Certifications or Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses Certification preferred. Valid ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Education Requirements: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Baccalaureate (preferred), Masters, or Doctorate Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in the specified specialty.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active New York State Nursing License, ACLS, BLS, PALS, at least 2 years of experience in operating room open heart procedures.
• Additional Information: The candidate must have previous open heart/cardiothoracic experience to be considered for this role. Shift notes specify hours from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with potential call responsibilities. Current licensure is required to submit application.
