Job Summary The Operating Room (OR) Open Heart registered nurse (RN) position is located at a healthcare facility dedicated to providing comprehensive cardiac surgical care. This role involves perioperative nursing care for open heart procedures, including adult cardiac surgeries such as CABG, surgical valves, and thoracic interventions. The RN will work on a full-time schedule during dayshift hours, supporting a specialized team within a facility recognized for its quality and safety standards.
Job Details
Schedule: Dayshift, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Current RN license eligible for licensure in Missouri or licensed in Missouri; BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association; 0+ years of experience in the Operating Room Open Heart specialty
Preferred Qualifications: None specified
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information: The RN will utilize the nursing process in perioperative practice, including thorough patient assessments, collaborative care planning, and execution of nursing interventions. Responsibilities include maintaining asepsis and infection control, providing wound exposure and hemostasis techniques, and collaborating with surgical teams during complex cardiac procedures.
