Job Summary Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) RN position in a Level II Trauma Center. The role involves providing specialized perioperative care for cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures, with a focus on adult and adolescent patients. The position requires a proactive, quick learner capable of scrubbing on complex cardiovascular cases and floating to general OR as needed.
Job Details
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CNOR, PALS; WA license required.
Education/Experience: Minimum of 1 year of perioperative nursing experience, including cardiovascular/Thoracic procedures.
Schedule: 4X10 day shifts, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities include scrubbed participation in procedures such as CABG, AVR, AAA, MVR, minimally invasive cardiac surgeries, and other advanced thoracic and general surgeries.
Willingness to scrub singularly on cardiothoracic cases and assist with learning new skills is essential.
Call requirement: At least 10 call shifts per month, with up to 2 weekends per month.
Must be able to float to general OR, if needed.
Candidates should include responses regarding prior experience at a facility, references covering the last 1 year (6 months for CNOR), and availability for the start date of 11/02/2026.
Must have a compact license in hand at submission, with a local radius of 50 miles.
