Job Summary: Operating Room Nurse in Corpus Christi, Texas. This full-time position involves providing specialized nursing care for cardiovascular (open-heart) cases and supporting general operating room procedures. The nurse will utilize EPIC charting systems and possess at least two years of relevant OR experience to ensure quality patient care in a dynamic clinical environment.
Job Details:
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with a total of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred), 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty, BLS certification (American Heart Association), RN License in state of Texas or a compact state.
Preferred Qualifications: CVOR and EPIC charting experience, minimum of two years.
Responsibilities:
Meet expectations of applicable organizational competencies including leadership of self, others, or leaders.
Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families according to practice standards.
Administer medications and treatments following appropriate protocols, monitor effects, and document patient history and care.
Assess learning needs and educate patients and families.
