Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart RN (Registered Nurse) in Denver, Colorado. This role involves providing specialized pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care for pediatric patients undergoing cardiac and open-heart surgeries in a dedicated pediatric operating room setting. The position offers a dynamic environment working with a skilled team to deliver high-quality patient care in a busy surgical unit.

Job Details:

• Certification, Education, and Experience: Minimum of 1 year of current hospital pediatric cardiovascular operating room (PEDS CVOR) RN experience, with valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, day shift hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current hospital pediatric CVOR RN experience, BLS & ACLS certifications, minimum 1 year of relevant experience, and proficiency in pediatric cardiac surgery procedures.
• Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric experience, CVOR and Cardiac experience, ability to function across multiple service lines.
• Typical Procedures: Orthopedic, ENT, Urology, Spine, General, GYN, Endoscopy, Plastics, Cardiac.
• Responsibilities: Manage the operating room, assist surgeons, monitor vital signs, and provide pre- and post-operative care for pediatric cardiac surgery patients.
• Additional Information: The unit utilizes Belmont Rapid Fusion electronic medical records (EMR) and Meditech / CPN systems. The team is supported by experienced service line leaders and has access to new equipment and technology. The team is composed of skilled staff with a focus on teamwork and excellent patient care.
