Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
• At least 1 year of relevant experience required
• 2 years of CVOR experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience required
• Strong cardiac scrub experience is a hard-stop requirement
• BLS certification required
• Comfort working in a 1:1 patient ratio environment
• Must be able to provide 2 professional references covering the last year of experience within the past 3 years
• Must have a vehicle available for this assignment

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care in the cardiovascular operating room
• Scrub and assist with complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures
• Support cases such as CABG, valve procedures, LVAD/RVAD, aortic aneurysm repair, MAZE procedures, and related cardiac surgeries
• Handle blood products, specimen labeling, and universal protocol requirements with accuracy
• Maintain sterile technique and safe OR workflow throughout each procedure
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative team members to support excellent patient care
• Work with attention to detail in a high-acuity, high-volume surgical environment
• Be prepared to support floating needs based on clinical skill set, if required
