Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nurse position available in Wenatchee, WA. This role involves providing high-quality perioperative care for cardiac and open-heart surgical patients within a dedicated surgical team. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring patient safety, assisting during complex surgeries, and adhering to all clinical and safety standards.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, from 06:30 to 19:00, 3 days a week, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • Must have a Washington State or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Experience in the Operating Room (OR) with open-heart or CVOR procedures
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Adheres to organization policies and unit-specific standards as applicable
• Consistently functions within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act, unit standards of practice, and stays current with legal nursing requirements
• Must float as a sitter and may be required to float in rotation
• Will be taking call as part of the position
• Coordinates and provides compassionate, high-quality patient care utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based procedures
• Develops, implements, and reassesses patients individualized plan of care
• Administers medications, completes nursing procedures, and monitors patient responses
• Evaluates discharge plans and educates patients and families on health information
• Maintains accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Performs holistic ongoing patient assessments and responds appropriately
• Delegates tasks appropriately to non-licensed assistive personnel
• Participates in performance evaluation and quality improvement processes
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintains a clean and safe environment in accordance with hospital policies
