• Position: CVOR / Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Rockford, Illinois
• Healthcare Setting: On-site cardiovascular and interventional procedural care

• Shift: Day shift with a rotating on-call schedule, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays

Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification is required
• At least 3 years of Registered Nurse experience, including at least 1 year of critical care experience
• Previous cardiovascular intervention experience is required
• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Current BLS or CPR certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Successful completion of an EKG test before orientation is completed
• Ability to participate in rotating on-call coverage

CVOR and Interventional Radiology RN Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular and interventional procedures
• Use the nursing process and critical thinking to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
• Administer medications and treatments according to approved nursing standards, policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
• Monitor patient condition, prioritize safety, and respond effectively to complex clinical situations
• Develop and execute patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical documentation
• Provide patient and family education at an appropriate level of understanding
• Delegate appropriately, collaborate across departments, and escalate concerns through the proper chain of command
• Participate in performance improvement, peer review, shared governance, and evidence-based practice initiatives
• Support continuity of care and contribute to a positive patient experience throughout the procedural journey
