Job Summary
Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) procedures at a healthcare organization in Greenville, North Carolina. The position involves providing specialized patient care for cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery patients within a dynamic OR environment. The RN will play a critical role in supporting surgical teams for procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair, vascular surgeries, and thoracic operations. This assignment offers a comprehensive opportunity for experienced OR nurses to contribute to specialized cardiac care.

Job Details

• Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, operating hours from 0700 to 1700 or 0900 to 1900, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid North Carolina or Compact State nursing license, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, at least 3 years of clinical experience in an operating room setting, and familiarity with cardiac, vascular, or thoracic surgical procedures.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working within a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) and experience circulating and scrub roles in cardiac or thoracic surgeries.
• Additional Information: The candidate will be responsible for circulating and scrub roles during complex cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgeries. Call and weekend call are required as part of the shift responsibilities. The facility has 7 CVOR suites and staffing ratios are 1:1 for RN-to-patient. The patient population includes those undergoing procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair, minimally invasive and robotic surgeries, TAVR, LVAD placement, aneurysm repairs, and thoracic surgeries including VATS and esophageal repairs.
