First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel contract opening for an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse (RN) in Fullerton, California. Operating within a high-acuity surgical service line, this high-paying position features a 4x10 daytime schedule (06:30 AM - 17:00 PM, Monday–Friday with 1 designated day off each week). PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

• Weekly Gross: $3,039.00
• Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,939.00
• Hourly W2 Rate: $25.00/hr (32 regular hours)
• Daily Overtime Rate: $37.50/hr (8 daily OT hours included under California labor guidelines)

SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

• Schedule: Day shifts, 4x10-Hours (06:30 AM - 17:00 PM / 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday with 1 rotating day off per week). Block scheduling configurations are not available.
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular/OT hours guaranteed weekly (facility may call off once per 2-week pay period).
• On-Call Requirements: Standby call is required. Call expectations include at least 1 post-shift call per week (17:00 PM - 07:00 AM) and at least 1 full 24-hour weekend call per month (07:00 AM - 07:00 AM). Standby call rate is $15.00/hr ($100.80/hr call-back rate).
• Clinical Scope & Surgical Skills: 1:1 patient care ratio. Must be proficient in open vascular, endovascular (TEVAR, EVAR, atherectomy, carotid endarterectomy, AAA repair), hybrid OR cases, and complex cardiovascular procedures (CABG, aortic aneurysm repair, valve replacements).
• EMR Charting System: Epic EMR.
• Scrubs: Hospital-provided OR scrubs.

REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of clinical CVOR RN experience is required (profiles with 3+ years may be screened for approval). First-time travelers accepted if candidate has 5+ years of experience.
• Licensure: Active California State Board of Registered Nursing License.
• Certifications Required:
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
