Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart RN position available in Lewiston, ME. This role involves providing specialized perioperative patient care for cardiac surgery procedures in a community hospital setting. The position offers a high level of clinical responsibility within a dynamic surgical team, supporting services such as coronary artery bypass grafts, mitral valve replacements, and transcatheter aortic valve replacements.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 40 hours per week, with flexibility for 4x10s or 5x8s shifts.
• Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS certification, minimum of 0 years of experience, located in or willing to work in Lewiston, ME.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience circulating in cardiovascular operating rooms, proficiency in aseptic technique, and familiarity with complex cardiac procedures such as TAVR and VAD.
• Additional Information:
  • Unit has 25 beds with a patient ratio of 1:1.
  • Equipment includes DaVinci surgical systems and Epic electronic health record system.
  • Needs staff skilled in inpatient cardiac surgery, with experience in both intraoperative and outpatient care.
  • Float requirements include general operating room coverage, if available.
  • Work setting is within a community hospital offering trauma level III surgery, cardiovascular, and other specialty services.
