Job Summary: Operating Room Open Heart RN position available in Lewiston, ME. This role involves providing specialized perioperative patient care for cardiac surgery procedures in a community hospital setting. The position offers a high level of clinical responsibility within a dynamic surgical team, supporting services such as coronary artery bypass grafts, mitral valve replacements, and transcatheter aortic valve replacements.
Job Details:
Schedule: Days shift, 40 hours per week, with flexibility for 4x10s or 5x8s shifts.
Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS certification, minimum of 0 years of experience, located in or willing to work in Lewiston, ME.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience circulating in cardiovascular operating rooms, proficiency in aseptic technique, and familiarity with complex cardiac procedures such as TAVR and VAD.
Additional Information:
Unit has 25 beds with a patient ratio of 1:1.
Equipment includes DaVinci surgical systems and Epic electronic health record system.
Needs staff skilled in inpatient cardiac surgery, with experience in both intraoperative and outpatient care.
Float requirements include general operating room coverage, if available.
Work setting is within a community hospital offering trauma level III surgery, cardiovascular, and other specialty services.
