CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CVOR Registered Nurse to join our team. This position requires flexibility and commitment, particularly during holiday seasons.

Unit Details

• Role: Charge RN with additional compensation for charge duties
• Weekend Coverage: Friday to Sunday
• Call: Variable; typically one weekday call per week and one weekend call every 5-6 weeks
• Floating: Within facility and scope of practice as needed

Clinical Requirements

• Minimum Experience: 2 years; first-time travelers are accepted
• Clinical Screening: Candidates will undergo a clinical review for fit; successful candidates will be sent to the manager for a final decision.

Holiday Coverage

Travelers are expected to be available for holiday coverage as follows:

• If one major holiday falls within the assignment period, the traveler must work it.
• If two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both.
• If three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of those holidays.

Major holidays include:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

Compliance

Full compliance is necessary to start on time. Failure to meet compliance requirements may result in a delay of two weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Additional Information

• Locals are accepted at the same rate.
• The number of non-billable orientation hours is determined by the contract length (e.g., 8 hours for an 8-week assignment; 10 hours for a 10-week assignment).
