Seeking an experienced **Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse (CVOR RN)**
for a travel assignment at **Memorial Hospital of Carbondale** in Carbondale,
Illinois. Join a skilled surgical team providing exceptional perioperative care
for cardiothoracic patients in a fast-paced operating room environment.
REQUIREMENTS
• Active Illinois RN License
• Minimum 3 years of CVOR / Operating Room nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong cardiothoracic surgical nursing experience
• Ability to float to clinically appropriate units within scope of practice
ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
• 13-week contract
• Day shifts (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
• CVOR with required call
• Floating to clinically appropriate units as needed
• No guaranteed hours
• No holiday coverage required
• W-2 employment only (No 1099)
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide direct nursing care during cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries
• Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room environment
• Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers throughout procedures
• Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery
• Administer medications and ensure patient safety
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary surgical teams
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
• Float to appropriate clinical units based on competency and patient care needs
