• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour day shifts (0645-1915) with rotating weekday call and one full weekend of call every 5 weeks
• Work Week: Monday through Sunday; no block schedules
• Orientation: Bi-weekly orientation available

Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience
• Recent, high-level competency in cardiovascular/open-heart OR care
• BLS certification required
• CNOR preferred
• Prior travel nurse experience required
• Ability to scrub hearts is required
• Experience in a large academic or teaching hospital setting required
• Epic experience within the past 2 years required
• Must be flexible to support the needs of the unit and patient care
• Reliable transportation recommended, especially during winter months

Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative nursing care in the CVOR
• Assist with cardiovascular and open-heart surgical procedures
• Scrub cardiac cases and support the surgical team with precision and teamwork
• Circulate in other OR suites as needed, including General, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, and more
• Support safe, efficient patient care across a high-acuity surgical environment
• Adapt to weekday and weekend call requirements based on unit needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to smooth patient flow
