Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – CVOR for a travel contract in Bronx, NY. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both circulating and scrubbing for complex cardiovascular surgical procedures in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub during cardiovascular surgeries.
• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to ensure patient safety.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with instrumentation throughout procedures.
• Accurately document patient care using the EPIC EMR system.

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience
• Current AHA BLS Certification
• Experience with both circulating and scrub roles
• Experience with the following cardiac surgical procedures:
  • CABG
  • EVH
  • Chest Closure
  • Thoracoscopy
  • Wedge Resection
  • Aortic Valve Procedures
  • Mitral Valve Procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a high-volume cardiovascular operating room.
• Experience using EPIC charting system.
