Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM (36 hours weekly), every other weekend required

Requirements:
- Current RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- CDN or CNN certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of acute hemodialysis experience required
- Recent experience with Fresenius hemodialysis equipment and Baxter peritoneal dialysis equipment strongly preferred
- First-time travelers accepted
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
Position Details:
- Acute hemodialysis experience required for day shift; cycler experience helpful but not mandatory
- Float to other departments for support tasks as needed based on dialysis census (does not involve patient assignments)
- On-call coverage required on Sundays from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM as part of departmental rotation
- Treatment of patients with end-stage renal disease, acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, peritoneal dialysis complications, and transplant rejection
- Bedside ICU/PCU treatments for patients on ventilators, titratable IV drips, and in airborne isolation settings
- Equipment includes Fresenius T hemodialysis machines with CliC and Bibag, Marcor Millennium HX portable reverse osmosis machines, and Baxter peritoneal dialysis cyclers
- Epic Dimensions charting system and Pyxis medication management
Important Considerations:
- Requested time off after booking is not permitted; additional call-offs may result in contract cancellation
- Contract staff may be assigned to Storm Team or Hurricane Team and required to report during catastrophic events or disasters
- Pre-start online modules required (approximately 8-10 hours, non-billable)
- Up to 7 days of pre-approved time off available (no holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays
