Travel Nurse RN - Dialysis - $1,918 per week in Greensboro, NC

Nurses will care for patients with end-stage renal disease, acute kidney injury, and metabolic imbalances. The patient population includes those requiring hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis treatments. Patients are often acutely ill with various medical-surgical and critical care diagnoses. The hemodialysis department provides services 24/7. The facility is equipped with telemetry monitoring and offers an isolation room for specific patient needs. Nursing care is provided around the clock through a dedicated team of registered nurses. Support staff includes certified hemodialysis technicians and a nursing secretary. Cardiac monitoring is an essential responsibility for nurses treating patients requiring surveillance. The average length of stay for patients undergoing hemodialysis or apheresis is 4-5 hours. Treatments for hemodynamically unstable patients may occur in their rooms with the nurse present. Peritoneal dialysis is performed in the patient's room as well. Additional interdisciplinary support is available, including physical therapy and respiratory services. The average daily census consists of approximately 20 dialysis orders. Nurses will float to various campuses as needed and be on call only on Sunday nights. Candidates are required to have experience with the required certifications.
