Travel Nurse RN - Dialysis - $2,053 per week in Roanoke, VA

Job Title: Dialysis Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Dialysis Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:45 - 07:15) Experience: 2 years of experience strongly preferred License: Active Virginia State or Compact RN/LPN license required Certifications: BLS; ACLS Must-Have: EPIC charting experience required Ability to cannulate AV graft and AV fistula Experience with patients having acute renal failure/injury, hemodialysis, and peritoneal dialysis Description: This position is for a Dialysis Registered Nurse. The shift consists of three twelve-hour nights. Charting is required using the EPIC system. There is a weekend requirement of every other weekend or a total of six weekend shifts in a six-week scheduling block. All requests for time off must be included with the submission. The facility may call off one shift every two weeks. A holiday requirement includes working one holiday during the 13-week contract period. First-time travelers are accepted; locals are not eligible. Pending licenses are accepted if the candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state. Experience in acute care inpatient dialysis is essential. Candidates are expected to have the ability to troubleshoot various alarms and conduct conductivity testing. The standard nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6. Staff may be required to float within their skillset. The work environment includes advanced specialty care for adults and geriatrics.
