Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) in Decatur, Illinois. This role involves providing acute inpatient dialysis care within an emergency-focused setting. The position requires clinical expertise in managing dialysis treatments, patient care, and operating dialysis-specific equipment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 10 hours shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of experience in acute inpatient dialysis, active Illinois license, BLS certification required, ACLS preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Cerner charting system experience, community hospital background, trauma level II experience.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Candidates will deliver care for patients with acute renal failure, acute Kidney Injury, and during Hemodialysis or Peritoneal dialysis. Skills include blood/blood product administration, vascular access management, and troubleshooting dialysis equipment such as B. Braun Dialog. Experience with patient symptom management for issues such as hyperkalemia, hypotension, and air emboli is essential. The unit maintains interdisciplinary support including IV teams and respiratory services. The start date is 08/31/2026, with orientation and compliance requirements to be completed prior to start.
- Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred.
- Experience: 1 year minimum experience in acute care inpatient dialysis.
- Patient Ratio: 2 patients per unit.
- Additional notes: No on-call required, and candidates can discuss schedule requests with management.
