Job Summary:
Dialysis Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position in Las Cruces, New Mexico. This role involves providing care to adult and geriatric patients with end-stage renal disease, supporting an outpatient dialysis setting. The position offers a steady schedule working during daytime hours, focusing on patient-centered care within a dedicated nephrology team.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours weekly.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse licensure, Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN), with at least 6 months of experience in a clinical setting. Licensure and certification requirements must be met prior to start; clinicians may begin with a 14-day waiver while documentation is processed but must be supervised.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with dialysis machines, vital signs, and electrocardiograms (EKG), familiarity with Meditech and EPIC electronic health record systems within the past two years.
- Additional Information: Occasional float assignments may be required when there are no dialysis patients to care for. The unit has 4 beds with a patient ratio of 2-4. Attire must be professional scrubs; no open toes shoes, artificial nails, or facial piercings. The work environment requires adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
