Description:
The Registered Nurse will work in the Dialysis specialty unit.
Guarantee hours will be 40 per week, Monday through Friday, from 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
The schedule will include a combination of two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts, depending on department needs.
Rotating Saturdays from 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM will be expected, with shifts lasting either 8 or 12 hours based on departmental needs.
Possible on-call duties may be required Monday through Friday from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, as well as weekends from Saturday at 6:00 PM to Monday at 6:00 AM.
Floating to other Dialysis locations will be required.
The candidate must have experience with administration of blood and blood products, as well as knowledge of dialysis equipment such as Baxter, Fresenius, Gambro, and Prismaflex.
Candidates should have the ability to cannulate AV grafts and fistulas and conduct dialysate conductivity testing.
Experience in managing alarms related to arterial pressure, blood leak, and conductivity, among others, is necessary.
Knowledge of post-treatment access care and sterilization procedures is required.
The role involves interpreting and managing various patient conditions including cardiac arrest, hypotension, and hyperkalemia.
Candidates must be experienced in both Acute Care Inpatient Dialysis and Chronic Outpatient Dialysis.
The patient population will primarily consist of adults and geriatrics.
