Experience: 3-5 years of experience in patient care as a Registered Nurse
License: Current Registered Nurse License
Certifications: Basic Life Support certification
Must-Have:
- Three to five years of experience in patient care as a Registered Nurse.
- Knowledge of advanced professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.
- Can work independently and as a contributing member of the team.
- Ability to maintain civility and good working relationships with colleagues.
- Strong written and oral communication skills characterized by candor, openness, and integrity.
Description:
Aligns behaviors with organizational values and maintains nursing professional practice standards.
Assumes responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients.
Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
Assists physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients, observing their conditions and intervening when necessary.
Administers medication as prescribed.
Initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.
Delivers patient care competently and seeks coaching and mentoring from others as needed.
Resolves patient complaints in a timely manner in accordance with policy and in collaboration with support staff.
Informs patients and families of procedures and shares care plans during the time of care and at discharge.
Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
Fosters a growth mindset by seeking mentorship and remaining open to feedback.
Develops a professional career plan and establishes performance goals in alignment with organizational metrics.
Fosters an inclusive workforce where individual differences are valued.
Delegates tasks to clinical support staff as needed.
Interacts with families and patients in sharing care plans during the hospital stay and at discharge.
Provides feedback and opportunities for others to learn through formal and informal methods.
Performs other duties as assigned.
