Requirements:

Active RN license in practicing state required.
1 year of dialysis or renal nursing experience preferred.
Current BLS required; ACLS may be required.
Experience with hemodialysis machines and protocols.
Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced setting.
Knowledge of infection control and vascular access care.

Responsibilities:

Dialysis Procedures:
- Perform pre and postdialysis patient assessments.
- Initiate, monitor, and terminate dialysis treatments.

Patient Management:
- Manage vascular access sites (fistula, graft, catheter).
- Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered.
- Monitor patient response; intervene for complications.

Documentation & Education:
- Document treatments, assessments, and status in the EMR.
- Educate patients on dialysis care, diet, and fluid management.
