Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

• Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Weekends: Every other weekend required
• Call Requirements: Yes
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Unit and Experience Requirements

Candidate must have at least 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience and be proficient in the following:

• PALS or ENPC certification
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• TNCC certification
• NIHSS certification (required)

Preferred Skills

• CEN certification
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Experience with Meditech documentation systems

Procedures Performed on Unit

• Conscious Sedation
• Participation in Intubations
• Behavioral Health Watch
• Sepsis Management
• Stroke Management (TPA administration)
• Chest Pain Management (Heart Alerts)

Dress Code

All nurses are expected to adhere to the following dress code guidelines:

• Scrub Color: Navy (undershirts and jackets in white, navy, or black only)
• Nail Policy: No acrylic nails or chipped nail polish, nails should be clean and no longer than ¼ inch
• Hair: Should be off shoulders and dyed in natural colors only
• Tattoos: Must be covered whenever possible; non-coverable tattoos will be addressed individually
• Piercings: Visible piercings (other than ears) are prohibited
