Job Summary: Emergency Room (ER) nurse position located in a bustling emergency department on the first floor of a hospital. The role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, including triage, medication administration, splinting, and other emergency procedures. The position requires collaboration with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient throughput and positive patient outcomes.
Job Details:
Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid certifications including Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). No minimum years of experience required.
Unit Information:
Location: Emergency Department on the 1st floor of a hospital
Bed Count: 13 beds plus a fast track area with 6 chairs
Staff: 40 total staff members, including charge nurses, registered nurses, and patient care technicians
Typical Procedures: Triage, medication administration, splinting, and other emergency interventions.
Personality Fit: Team-player, friendly, with a can-do attitude.
Additional Information: No on-call required; weekend availability as needed.
