Job Summary Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) Location: Unknown. This role involves providing acute care in a Level I Trauma Emergency Department within a healthcare facility. The position offers flexible scheduling options, including 36 or 48-hour shifts, catering to experienced clinicians adept at handling high-acuity cases in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
Schedule: Nights shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week, including weekend coverage.
Required Qualifications: Valid license, certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC). A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in emergency or trauma settings, with proficiency in arterial line management, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line care, and interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Charge Nurse role, community hospital or Level I Trauma Center experience, and previous travel experience.
Additional Information: Certified in Trauma Level I (preferred), capable of managing complex trauma cases such as gunshot wounds, head injuries, spinal cord injuries, and stroke patients. Familiarity with electronic charting systems, particularly Epic, is required. Commitment to completing onboarding modules within 48 hours of contract signing is essential for compliance.
