Job Summary: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Albemarle, North Carolina. This role involves providing critical care to pediatric and adult patients within the emergency department. Candidates are required to bring their licensure on the first day.

Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: 2 years Emergency Room (ER) RN experience, licensure in good standing, certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI); additional certifications such as TNCC are preferred
Preferred Qualifications: TNCC certification is preferred
Additional Information:
Experience with general ER skills including cardiac rhythm interpretation, critical care drips, ventilator management, chest tubes, PIV starts, TNK/TPA administration, conscious sedation, and Emergency Severity Index (ESI) assessments
Support within the department includes available CNA, charge nurse, IV/Vascular Access Team, hospitalist, and ED physician team; bedside and central tele-monitoring available
Technological equipment: Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Philips monitors, general medical-surgical equipment, and tele monitors
Flexibility required to float to various listed facilities within the region as needed; float rotation may be required
Orientation: 2 days departmental orientation
Holiday work required 75% of the time
RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; additional time may be added if necessary to meet contracted hours
