Job Summary: Emergency Room (ER) nurse in a rural facility located in Marinette, Wisconsin. The position involves providing acute care to a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics within a level III trauma center. This role requires flexibility in rotating shifts, with clinical responsibilities including supporting hospital staff, assisting with patient care, and working with various medical equipment and electronic health records.
Job Details:
Shift: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift
Start Date: 10/19/2026
End Date: 01/16/2027
Schedule: Weekend rotation: every other weekend
Required Qualifications:
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Wisconsin paramedic license
Education Requirements: Registered Nurse (RN) or Paramedic credentials with valid licensure in Wisconsin
Location Requirements: WI/MI paramedic license
Years of Experience: 0.0 years minimum experience applicable, with at least 2 years preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Emergency Department settings
De-escalation certification (not required)
General emergency department skills such as support on the unit, support staff coordination, and charting proficiency
Additional Information:
Support staff include Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), charge nurses, phlebotomists, resource nurses, and hospitalists available 24/7
Bedside and nurse station telemonitoring available
Will be required to work in the ED supporting a diverse patient population; patient ratios commonly 1:3-4 during day shifts and 1:5 during night shifts
Scrub color: Any color
Parking: Very rural hospital with close-knit team environment
ED has its own ambulance service
