Slate Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Shreveport, Louisiana.

DESCRIPTION:

As an Emergency Room Nurse, you'll be at the forefront of patient care in a fast-paced setting. Located in Shreveport, Louisiana, this position offers a unique opportunity to work with diverse patient populations. Your schedule will involve 3x12 night shifts, allowing for a balanced work-life routine. REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 years of ED experience
  • Active LA or Compact State RN license
  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC and CPI or MOAB required
  • TNCC preferred
  • Experience with NGT insertion, IV starts, chest tube management, defibrillation, splinting, and stroke/NIHSS care
  • ICU drip (gtt) management experience
  • Must be comfortable holding admitted patients in the ED and working with hall bed assignments
  • First-time travelers accepted with 2 years of permanent staff RN experience in acute care
