Job Summary: Emergency Room Nurse Tuscumbia, AL. This position involves providing high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The role requires flexibility to float to other units and hospitals, with shifts scheduled in the evenings. The candidate will work as part of a dedicated team serving a large volume of patients with varying needs, including trauma and stroke patients, across an established Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center.
Job Details:
Schedule: Evenings, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or a Compact license (no temporary licenses accepted); Associate degree in nursing; Certifications including American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and on-site TNCC certification; a minimum of 2 years of recent emergency room experience, or 18 months of experience working under a professional license with prior ER experience; work location in Tuscumbia, AL, with the ability to float between units and facilities

Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to work holidays and every other weekend. The position involves patient-facing clinical responsibilities in a 54-bed Emergency Department serving over 60,000 patients annually. The department is staffed 24/7 with a team of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff, ensuring comprehensive emergency care.
