Job Summary:
Emergency Room Holding Area (ER HOLD) nurse position in Pulaski, Tennessee. This role involves providing care to patients in the emergency room holding area, with a focus on substance abuse treatment and behavioral health. The position requires flexibility to float to other departments as needed and supports a patient population ranging from adults to geriatric individuals.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) or higher, licensure and certification to work as an RN in Tennessee, BLS (Basic Life Support), ALS (Advanced Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support); recent experience in patient care of all ages, bedside shift report, IV access, and assist with bedside procedures such as PICC lines/midlines.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CIWA (Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment for Alcohol) and COWS (Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale) assessments, at least 3 years of clinical experience, and familiarity with substance abuse and behavioral health treatments.
• Additional Information: The role involves caring for patients with substance abuse issues, polysubstance abuse, and related conditions. A calm demeanor, teamwork, clinical judgment, and willingness to learn are essential. The facility supports passing audits and following department standards, including bedside shift reports and unit checks.
