Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team. This position involves working three 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. Nurses will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting.
• SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license is required.
• Current certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• Preferred certifications: CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) and TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course).
• Experience with Epic electronic health records is required.

Additional Information

• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
• Travelers may need to float within scope to meet facility needs.
• Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Time off requests must be submitted at the time of application and will be subject to approval based on facility needs.
• Guaranteed hours may allow for one shift cancellation every two weeks.
• Please note that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. It's advisable to avoid confirming a new or extension assignment during this time.

Work Environment

This position is within an acute care hospital with a total of 286 staffed beds. The environment is dynamic and requires quick thinking and teamwork to provide the best care for patients in emergency situations.
