Job Summary Emergency Room Registered Nurse This role is based in the emergency department at a healthcare facility. The nurse will provide safe, direct patient care within the scope of practice, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The position involves collaborating with physicians, guiding patient and family education, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Job Details
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Current and valid state registered nurse license; BLS (Basic Life Support); ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support); NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) or Stroke Certification preferred; COVID vaccination/boosters preferred; BVP (MAB) training; minimum one year of nursing experience in emergency room setting
Additional Information: The registered nurse is responsible for delivering patient care in Telemetry within the emergency department, communicating clinical changes to physicians, and maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality. Knowledge of EMTALA regulations and reporting requirements for child/adult abuse is essential.
