Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Hopewell, Virginia.

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Hopewell, Virginia. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care within a fast-paced environment. The nurse will be responsible for managing adult and pediatric patients, performing procedures such as IV insertions, cardiac monitorings, and adhering to trauma and sepsis protocols, while demonstrating strong communication and teamwork skills.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Evenings; 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications; current Richmond, Virginia (or willing to obtain) license; 0+ years of experience in emergency nursing
  • Preferred Qualifications: Trauma experience, TNCC certification, Meditech electronic medical record experience
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to potential off-site FSED approximately 15 minutes away
  • Additional Information: The unit has 22 beds with the capacity for additional patients, staffed with approximately 50 team members. The ER utilizes Phillips and GE monitors, Level 1 Rapid Infuser, and Meditech electronic health records. The unit values team players who are energetic, professional, respectful, and adaptable, with excellent attendance and accountability. The schedule includes every other weekend with at least one Friday and one Monday shift in the four-week cycle. No on-call duties are required.
