Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse, ER, Night shift. This position involves providing professional nursing care based on current standards from the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA). The role includes assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, and evaluating outcomes for patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics. The position may require scheduled on-call assignments due to fluctuating patient volumes in the emergency department.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current Pennsylvania registered nurse licensure, American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Demonstrates ability to function effectively as part of a healthcare team and communicate professionally with patients, families, and staff. Exhibits a high level of emotional resilience and sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
• Develops and implements individualized patient care plans, including discharge planning and patient education.
• Recognizes and responds promptly to changes in patient health status, managing complications and emergencies in accordance with established policies and ENA standards.
• Triages incoming patients, determining care priorities based on physical and psychosocial needs, and ensures continuous assessment and reevaluation.
• Ensures availability and proper functioning of supplies and equipment, maintaining a safe environment for patient care.
• DOCUMENTATION: Accurately documents nursing history, patient responses to interventions, health education provided, and discharge instructions.
