• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Holiday Coverage: Every other holiday
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Charting System: Epic

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or pending Virginia nursing license accepted, with license in hand by the Wednesday before the start date
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• At least 1 year of Level I trauma experience or 2 years of Level II trauma experience
• Experience caring for pediatric patients required
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC required; TNCC may be pending at submission but must be completed before start
• Epic experience required
• BSN preferred
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and variable schedules based on staffing needs

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to adolescents, adults, pediatric patients, and geriatric patients
• Perform rapid assessments, triage, and intervention in a busy Emergency Department
• Care for patients with trauma, stroke, chest pain, and other high-acuity conditions
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary support teams to deliver coordinated patient care
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain strong clinical communication throughout the shift
• Adapt to changing patient volumes and staffing needs while maintaining safe, efficient care
• Support a team-oriented environment with flexibility for weekend and holiday coverage
