• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Holiday Coverage: Every other holiday
• Time Off: Limited time off available; block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Orientation: 24 hours

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• Must have either 1 year of Level I trauma facility experience or 2 years of Level II trauma facility experience
• Experience caring for pediatric patients required
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC required
• TNCC may be pending at submission, but must be completed before start
• Epic experience required
• Strong experience with Level I and Level II trauma care, triage, and high-acuity emergency nursing
• Virginia RN license may be pending at submission, but must be in hand before start
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a busy Emergency Department with a daily census of approximately 165 visits
• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Perform triage, assessment, intervention, and ongoing monitoring for emergency patients
• Care for patients presenting with trauma, chest pain, stroke, and other emergent conditions
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary support teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and more
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and support efficient patient flow in a fast-paced emergency care environment
• Float within scope as needed and adapt to changing staffing needs
• Support weekend, holiday, and variable scheduling requirements as assigned
