Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse - Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care in a busy ER setting with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence. The role requires flexibility to work rotating shifts, including holiday coverage, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: 24 months of current Emergency Room / Emergency Department experience, active Iowa or multistate nursing license, EPIC EMR experience, CPI, MOAB, MAB, or SAMA highly recommended, active PALS, TNCC, and ACLS certifications are required, NIH Stroke Scale certification required (may be obtained during onboarding).
- Preferred Qualifications: Active and in-hand certifications, current or recent travel ER experience within previous 18 months.
- Additional Information:
- Holiday work required unless the unit is closed (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day).
- Emergency experience must be recent; a travel contract within the last 18 months is necessary.
- Must have a valid drivers license and professional references within 24 months.
- Certified in de-escalation (CPI, MOAB, MAB, SAMA) preferred.
- Call Back: 1.5x multiplier with a 2-hour minimum.
- On Call: $9/hour.
- Charge / Precept: $6/hour.
