Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This role involves working in a fast-paced emergency department, requiring strong clinical judgment and the ability to work autonomously while performing under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Perform charge and triage duties as necessary.
• Administer IV starts and conduct phlebotomy.
• Participate in a weekend and holiday rotation for on-call duties.
• Contribute to a team environment while managing multiple patients effectively.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency or critical care setting.
• Prior experience as a travel nurse is required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, and PALS are mandatory.
• Preferred certifications include CPI, MAB, TNCC.
• Experience with charge roles and precepting is preferred, but consideration will be given to candidates without charge experience.
• Key skills: Charge and triage, IV starts, and phlebotomy; familiarity with Cerner is a plus.

Working Conditions

• Shift: Night shifts, 4x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:00).
• Patient volume: Approximately 150 visits per day.
• Staff to patient ratio: 1:4.
• Medical scrubs are not provided; navy blue scrubs are required.
• May involve contact with patients diagnosed with COVID-19.
